Visit to Incubation Unit


J.K.K.Nattraja College of Pharmacy, Kumaraplayam has been selected for establishing Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) as per the norms and directives of Innovation Cell, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), and Government of India. As a part of IIC 2.0 quarter III activities, On 14th march 2020, 10 students with 5 Teaching faculties went for a exposure visit to the incubation unit of Bannariamman Institute of Technology(BIT-TBI), Sathyamangalam, with an aim to know about incubation unit and its functions. The objective of this exposure visit was to get to know the incubation unit in more details in terms of entrepreneurial ideas, to get exposure on products and also to learn about how to make a collaborative environment designed to help new startups succeed. The detailed and visual explanation was given by Dr. K. Balakrishnan, CEO, BIT-TBI Bannariamman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam on innovation and start up. Incubation unit is designed to accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial ideas. Business incubation program works with select, viable start-up and early stage companies. They offer targeted, specific business assistance services. They also require companies to graduate. The Incubation Centre at BIT was a space for new age entrepreneurs and young minds to transform their innovative ideas into viable business propositions. Their primary vision is to facilitate a platform for a budding entrepreneur to start a business venture with minimum risks. The Students were able learn much more information about innovations, startups, entrepreneurs and also visited their new innovative ideas of their entrepreneurs as successful products.
