White Coat Ceremony

Description

The White Coat Ceremony is a wonderful and meaningful tradition in which the college welcomes first-year students as colleagues dedicated to patient care. White is a symbol of purity, and the white coat symbolizes the purity of purpose being affirmed in becoming a healthcare professional. Patients must trust that the knowledge and skills will be used in their best interest—always to benefit, never to harm.

White Coat Ceremony was conducted on 22-11-2018 in J.K.K.Nattraja College of Pharmacy, Kumarapalayam. Dr.C.Kalaiyarasi, Associate professor, Department of pharmacology, Welcomed the gathering.

Dr. R. Sambathkumar, Principal, J.K.K.Nattraja College of Pharmacy, presided over the function and he pointed out the importance of white coat ceremony and conveyed the student commitment to professionalism, respect, integrity, and caring.

All HODs of J.K.K.Nattraja College of Pharmacy, presented white coats to I –B.Pharm and I-Pharm.D students as a symbol of clinical service and care. Students has taken ‘The Pharmacist’s Pledge'(Pharmacist Oath) during the White coat ceremony.

The function organised in a well manner and hosted by M.J.Rahman I Pharm.D Student and Sam blesson jaganadhan I –B.pharm student. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. M. Vijaya baskaran, Professor & Head, Department of pharmaceutical chemistry.
