World Population Day was celebrated on July 11 at JKKN College of Pharmacy to focus on the importance of population issues with the theme of “A World of 8 Billion: Towards A Resilient Future For All – Harnessing Opportunities And Ensuring Rights And Choices For All”. The Celebration was organized by the Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council and Internal Quality Assurance Cell. The event started with a prayer song. Fourth Pharm. D students, Mr. P. Dinesh Kumar & Ms. S. Vinla, delivered an informative talk on World Population Day. The interactive seminar session was a successful one, with an attendance count of more than 100 members including staff and students. Dr. M. Vijayabasakaran, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, proposed the vote of thanks. The event ended with National Anthem.
