The aim of the college of pharmacy is to provide programmes that will prepare the students from the technological, legal, civic and moral responsibilities of the profession. The fundamental aim of an ideal pharmacy education programme in the college is based on professional intellectual, social and personal perspectives.

Professional expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, which serves as a source for subsequent professional career and to impart certain technical and experimental skills which are necessary for the profession. Intellectual perspectives including developing of creative instinct and capacity to apply knowledge for problem-solving and reasoning and urge to invent and innovate. Development of communication skills, persuasion ability, teamwork, leadership qualities, societal brethren feeling, and harmonious social interactions is another important aspect which is of prior importance in enhancing the future prospects of the budding pharmacists.

The objective of imparting quality education is fulfilled by eminent and qualified pharmacy faculty members, motivated students and modern infrastructural facilities like good laboratories computerized and digital library, good lab equipment and instruments. The curriculum includes basic scientific and professional instruction as well as specialized training in the various branches including Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology, and Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacognosy etc. Post-graduation in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with 8 students was started in 2004 and then gradually with other branches like Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy Practice, and Pharmacology. In the year 2009, the college was granted approval from Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to start Pharm.D Course.
