The “Learner’s Led Conference” (LLC) organized by PHARM.D clerkship students at JKKN College of Pharmacy was a successful event that focused on The conference, held in conjunction with World Rare Disease Day 2024, aimed to deepen our understanding of rare diseases through student-led research and presentations. The conference, inaugurated by Dr. V. Senthil, Principal of the college, provided a unique opportunity for students to engage in the organization, research, and dissemination of knowledge on rare diseases.
Through detailed presentations on rare diseases such as Alkaptonuria and Angelman Syndrome, insightful discussions on orphan drugs, and interactive game and quiz sessions, students showcased their understanding and skills in rare disease management. These activities also promoted critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork among the students. The LLC also served as a platform for students to interact with professionals and peers, facilitating a rich exchange of ideas and best practices in the field of rare disease research and therapy.
