We Department of Pharmacognosy at JKKN College of Pharmacy commemorated Earth Day with zeal and enthusiasm on the 22nd of April, 2024. In an earnest effort to contribute to the well-being of our planet, the institution undertook a plantation drive, embedding the vicinity with ten saplings that promise a greener future.
The afternoon session was an academic feast, headlined by Dr. S. Satheesh, the Associate Professor from the Department of Pharmacy Practice. His address, which centered around the potent theme “Planet VS Plastic,” was an insightful discourse on the pressing environmental issue of plastic pollution. The session was enlightening and fostered a spirit of environmental responsibility among the attendees. Approximately 95 students absorbed the wisdom imparted, reflecting on the impact of plastic on our fragile planet. The event was a convergence of education and action, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to the Earth. It was a powerful reminder of the changes we can engender when we come together for a noble cause.
